In God we trust!

hello all,

Romans 8:31 is the verse I just discovered. Though I think this is a common verse, I still feel that hey, no matter how common any verse is, it still would not fail to speak to someone.

As I am going through a decision making part of my life, about my cca, I have been really confused about what to choose, all the lies and sweet talking from the cca teachers, to join this or join that, I really could not take it. It was as if every door was open, but each door there was black and I could not see what was behind it. I was afraid.

And then I saw this verse. This verse:" What then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Powerful is'nt it? It is at least for me. Now when I look at each door, I know that no matter what door I go through, God will shine and be a light onto my feet, and the moment I enter, everything would be clear!

Exams are coming soon (omg, so fast!) and I probably buck up my studies. But all in all, I really do hope to get what i want for my cca, as God will provide not only just nice for us, but exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think!

what can mend a brokenheart?

hello,

Smile andrew. smile.

Its been a year now since I left primary school and I must say I miss my friends and all. However, times do change and now it seems my friends are starting to disappear, starting to move on. It's not like I have not moved on, its just, 4 years of friendship and you want to call it quits now?

But what the heck. At least i got supurb friends now! Zakir, Jeremy Chan, Darren and all of the jokers, well, they never fail to spice up my life. I hate having a broken heart. As the saying goes: you won't know the blues till you feel the blues, a broken heart is hell. You spend hours just thinking of it, of what you did wrong, what you should have done, and in the end, nothing. ABSOULUTLY NOTHING happens. You cry, try to get over it, shout in the pillow, it all won't work.

But something does work. And that is God. God never fails to work. In any situation, I have learnt that go straight to God, then to friends and all. Don't listen to advice like, oh, you will find another want, or like, ai yo, just a girl ma, got so many else to take. Listen to God-given advice. Listen to advice like: If you need love, go to God. He will never reject you. He is always there.

I don't want to get religious and all but all in all, I would like to say that
Me, ANDREW LIM ZHI QIANG, HAS GOTTEN OVER IT!

A powerful CNY message

Hey

Today is sunday an I just had an awesome service. Today's sermon was about being unshakable in these so shaky times. According to the bible(will confirm the verses soon), God has a reason for these shaking. Its to sort of sieve those things that are shakable and those that are not. Well, what are things that are shakable? These things are man-made systems, such as stocks! Though I am not a politician, stocks to me is like a short cut of earning money. You use money you do not even have. Well, what is God's system then? God's system is the system of sowing and reaping. Its simple. So what you have, and leave the rest to God. He will bless you. Not because of luck, not because of your smartness, but because of God! And don't ever think that you are not perfect enough to come to God. We are all forgiven of our sins, past, present and future, because of Jesus's work at the cross. So stand firm in Jesus in these trying times and he will pull you through!

Well, I watched a korean drama today. I have to say, korean dramas are really really drama. :] guess thats why all the aunties like it. haha. So anyway, I got a revalation while watching the drama! Believe it or not, my revalation was this: That God was the one who created love. God knew long ago that love was needed between humans. So I thought to myself, God must be love in order to create love! And if God can create love, that means he has an everlasting supply of love! wow. That comforted me a lot. I know its not that big of a revalation, but it still is one for me! So remember always, That God is our source of love. Not korean dramas, not movies, not LAN gaming. God is our LOVE! :] (thats my new smiley sign btw)

What a day!

helloo,

Nop, that is not me in the photo.

They are my fellow chestnut friends, and we had a wonderful time together today! Training started like soooo late :O and by the time it ended, it was already like 7.30? like wth lah.

But anyway, we decided to go for dinner, and eat ice jelly cocktail, which we were suppose to eat weeks ago. I was really bored on the bus and decided to take some photos. Iggy found that pink watch and is so proud of it. Haziq took years to adjust his hair for the photo. I was just waiting for the right moment to snap! :D

Finally reached Tampines interchange after an half an hour's ride on the bus. We had KFC for dinner, and sadly and ironically, we DID NOT have ice jelly in the end. lolol. Oh, and never have chilli and cheese fries at the same time. It sucks. It concorts some sort of chemical mixture that makes your stomach want to burst and spill it all out. EEK.

Iggy needed a ride home, and that came in form of my bike! I had to adjust my balance and all, and thank God, we succeded! YEAH MAN! It was quite something for me, cause I have never tom bang a person on my bike before.

So yea, what a day it was! Training was very fun too, we did long jumps, and i felt like super man once again. Hope that there would be many more of these sort of days to come, as God said, "...bad day,...good dayS" :D
Praise God.

A big leap.

Hello,

This week I finally did what I should have done a year ago. I finally attended my church's youth service!

Well, the main reason why I did not want to go to the youth service was because of the amount of people there. I come from a church with thousands of people, and I was quite shy then. But praise be to God, he gave me the courage to finally go to the service and boy did i enjoy it!

The service had some pre-service activities, and it was called : that japanese game show!

As you can see in the picture, the decorations were great and elaborate. People were dressed up as ninjas and sumos and so on. My friend told me to dress like a ninja, but I think it was a failure. :D We all looked as if we were going to a funeral!

The service itself was great, we sang great songs from the band hillsong united, and to top it off, our pastor preached a really powerful sermon. The sermon was about faith momentum, and that in our studies and all, we need to keep focusing our main thoughts and time on God, and so this will steadily create a faith momentum. Gradually, the momentum will become so great, we will be unshakable! :D

But also remember that all in all, it is not our faith, but its God's grace towards us that pleases him. Just accept and believe in him, that is the best thing to please God.

I really thank God for giving me such friends in this youth service, for if I did not have them, I would have never had gone to the service!

A discovery.

 Hello,

I was just looking through my photos when i suddenly saw a few pictures of my trip to Sydney with my dad!

I remembered what an awesome time we had there, so I might even divert from Israel now to Sydney! Austraila is another awesome country, with amazing harbours and sights. The picture in the post is when my dad and I were just lazing around the opera house. (Going on a holiday with my dad is uber cool, and uber slack)  :D

So yea, you just might see more pictures of my Sydney trip!

Hello,

Today was a great day! Even though lessons were boring, we have a full day off on the 29 of Jan! :D

Darren was really tired today :O but I still continued to talk and talk to him. How inconsiderate of me right. Lesson so boring what, its not my fault!

So anyway, time progressed and soon the day was over. For us, the fun just began! We went bowling and Maitri and Zach got a lot of good bowls. They totally thrashed the rest of us. How nice of them. How nice.

I played soccer after bowling and sadly, there were mutts playing with us. We were ok at first, then the mutts started pushing us real hard. I got a cut on my hand because of a push that saw me flying towards the fence. And the fence was sharp :(

I'm not being racists or what, but why can't others like play properly and cleanly? Must they push? And they wearing school uniform some more. No respect for their school what so ever.

But oh well, we had a nice match.

Israel

 Hello,

This is Petra. Its one of the seven wonders of the world. We had to hiked for 45 minutes to reach the main site. I SURVIVED!

See that amazing building in the background of the photo? well, thats only the entrance of Petra. There are many more sites and places of attractions to see inside, but sadly, a sandstorm was coming and we had to leave :(

Petra in greek means rock, its the root word of 'peter', the name. And the building that you see, was build by humans! They carved every drawing and every statue out of the limestone in Petra. Limestones are soft stones, making it easy to carve out of it.

Loookk at mmyyy haiirr. Ittss beeiingg bblloown awway!!

Till the next post,

Israel

Hey,

I shall publish some posts writing about my trip to Israel! I am feeding birds in the photo, and the birds all really liked me, cause they all came to me even though everyone brought bread too :D
The birds were really greedy.
I brought at least 3 loaves of bread. ALL GONE.
So yea, I understand now why God says he can take care of the birds of the air. Cause of people like us. He uses us to feed them!

Continue feeding the birds,
